. Membership application information and the application form can be found from the
club website’s Homepage (www.soargbsc.com)
a. From the ‘INFO’ pull down menu, click ‘Join GBSC’
i. Please read the prospective member letter
ii. Additional information that may be of interest can be found in the new member letter
iii. Download and print the appropriate application form
1. “GBSC 90-Day Trial Membership Application” for those interested in joining GBSC on a trial basis
2. “GBSC Membership Application” form for all others
2. Review the form and make sure you have all the required information.

a. If you are not a current member of the Soaring Society of America, you must
join the SSA before submitting your application. Your SSA number MUST be
included with your GBSC application. Information regarding joining SSA can be
found at www.ssa.org. From their Home Page, click on the ‘The SSA’ tab on the
left and navigate to the ‘Join SSA’ tab and follow the instructions.
b. If you are applying for a slot in the Juniors program, you should contact the
Juniors coordinator at juniors@soargbsc.com before submitting the GBSC

3. Determine the fee you will need to submit along with your application. The submittal
fee is shown on the application and is based on the type of membership you are
applying for. With the exception of the 90-Day Trial membership, the fee is shown in
the table for the month in which you submit your paperwork.
4. Mail your completed application and check to our Treasurer. Bringing it to the field
and dropping it off will only delay the process. Once he has received it, he will process
your application and add you to our billing and email systems. This could take a few
days so please plan accordingly. You will be informed when the process has been
completed and you can then begin flying with us.
