If flying were the language of man, soaring would be its poetry

My favorite past-time (or obsession :-) ) is flying aircraft without engines - called gliders or sailplanes. On a good day, a sailplane can stay aloft for many hours and cover distances of hundreds of miles. I'm a member of the Greater Boston Soaring Club where I am an FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and also own and fly my own sailplane (pictured above).
